My friends and I built the world's first Hybrid Airplane to compete in Nasa's centennial challenge for the most efficient airplane in the world.
Sitting next to me in the picture is our test pilot, Ponso, who daringly agreed to fly an airplane build by a bunch of students. We fondly called him "Balls of steel."
I led a team of volunteers and built the battery system and electrical architecture on the aircraft.
Details of our project were highlighted in various media outlets and electric vehicle sites like this one, but our favorite congratulatory letter came from Nasa, commending us for making history. (:
